Amelia’s has been catering events of all kinds and serving delectable lunches in the Gulf Shores, Alabama area for over 25 years. Owner Amelia Stephens, her daughters, and even her grandchildren have never wavered from their famous quality standards. Customers nosh on handcrafted sandwiches, soups of the day, and on-site prepared salads when visiting the deli. Amelia’s also specializes in catering parties of up to 500 guests. From meetings and office parties to weddings and banquets, tailored menus are available to fit special events. Lately, though, it is their cakes that have been attracting attention and praise from sweet tooths all over the Gulf Coast.

Amelia’s offers three different freshly baked cakes daily. Cakes are available by the slice in the deli, while whole cakes are available by order. All cakes are handmade in small batches. Where larger bakeries mix their batter in larger quantities, Amelia’s prepares “small grade” batches using a countertop mixer to ensure the perfect taste and consistency. Although selections vary, patrons may indulge on confections including Italian Crème Cake, Hummingbird Cake, iced lemon pound cake, red velvet cake, and Black Russian Chocolate Cake. Some of Amelia’s cakes come topped with chocolate-covered strawberries.

Amelia’s does not bake traditional “occasion” or decorator cakes; however, hand embellishments with homemade icing complement every selection. These homemade goodies are perfect for family get-togethers, holiday occasions, grooms’ cakes, and even non-traditional wedding cakes.
